What is this ".NET Framework", and why do I need it?
The ".NET Framework" is basically a piece of Microsoft software that is
the foundation of Microsoft's recent software technology initiative.
If you keep your PC up to date with Microsoft's Windows Update service,
you most likely already have the .NET Framework installed on your PC, so you
don't have to be concerned with it.
In the rare case where you don't already have it installed on your PC, you
will have to download and install it. This is relatively easy operation, and is only
done once.
Where is the Preferences file stored?
The Preferences file is a text file that stores the settings shown in
the Preferences window. It also stores the sizes and
positions of various program windows. This data is stored upon clicking button Exit, and is
automatically read upon program startup.
Preference data is stored in a file named Preferences.txt.
The location of the folder containing this file depends upon the operating
system, the user account, and the program version.
For example, on Windows XP, the folder path might be:
C:\Documents and Settings\default\Application Data\LinkWise Software\PicViewPlus\Preferences.txt
